(Installation) Engrossed in Digital Infinity, Archival Inkjet Prints, 2016

The work created for Engrossed in Digital Infinity represents the ways in which digital technology is changing perception and the distinctions between handmade and computer generated images.

This series of inkjet printed patterns was an investigation of the effects of colour, perception, and infinities seen physically, and imagined spiritually. By embracing mistakes I am able to produce more variations and unpredictability within my work. I eventually begin producing and imagining new ways of generating my digital images by working in a chaotic manner. Executing various actions through Photoshop that allow for an element of chance and randomness helps to develop this chaos. However, I inevitably take back control once I have mastered this new approach to image production.
