Instruction Tables is a series of digital artworks created using pre-established “Instruction Tables”, which restrain the creative art process. The artist’s hand in the work is diminished through the pixelation and digitization of the complex, layered images, and raises the question of artistic authorship. The process is one of collaboration, between artist and machine. Although the images are produced within a system of structure, there is still room for creative expression. Each step can be interpreted and executed in unique ways, which creates endless possibilities.
